Summer is for reading, right? You’re invited to our two upcoming book club gatherings in June and August!
On Tuesday, June 14, we’re discussing Shannan Martin’s The Ministry of Ordinary Places. Then we’re taking July off to offer plenty of time to read our next selection, Taylor Schumann’s When Thoughts and Prayers Aren’t Enough, for conversation on August 30. In her book, Schumann shares her story of survival from a school shooting, presents the problem of gun violence in a Christian context, and offers an invitation to grace-filled dialogue and action. Copies are available in the church library or wherever books are lent or sold!
