Small Groups

The perfect option for those looking to deepen their faith and develop relationships with others in the congregation, small groups are offered in several sessions throughout the year. While each group develops its own characteristics, groups generally meet in a host home and the leader facilitates discussion around the previous week’s sermon. Small groups are a central component to our discipleship process and joining one is a great step to take in your faith journey!

Shawl Ministry

The shawl ministry group meets once monthly on a Wednesday evening to knit or crochet together. It’s a great time of fellowship that also helps bring the church together as the group creates blankets given to children at their baptism, to high school graduates, as well as to the ill and hospitalized. Just as much a prayer as a craft, the shawl ministry provides an opportunity to use knitting and crocheting skills to work for God!

Klager Friends

With our building right next door to Klager Elementary, we prioritize every opportunity to support the school community. Every week, volunteers engage with children at recess while others serve as reading volunteers. New volunteers are always welcome to help share the love of God through this partnership!

Sunday School

We offer an adult Sunday school class each week before worship from 9:30-10:15am. Topics vary throughout the year but are often book studies with class time spent in shared discussion. The class is drop-in friendly and doesn’t require outside preparation!

United Methodist Women

Open to all women of the church, the United Methodist Women are active in supporting mission work through fundraising efforts. Known in particular for the spring Salad Smorgasbord and Christmas in the Village Cookie Walk, this group has a lot of fun working together while supporting the work of the church.

Pub Theology

Twice a month, a discussion group meets at a local restaurant for conversation and drinks. Topics vary by the week but often cover a space of overlap between life, culture, and religion. All voices and perspectives are welcome! For details and upcoming meetings, visit their Facebook page.
