Blessed Lord, you have caused all holy Scriptures to be written for
our learning. Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and
inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the
blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our
Savior Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy
Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Holy God, when you followed your path into Jerusalem, the crowds laid out coats for you to walk on and waved palm branches to honor your presence. As still we seek to walk in your ways, we offer forth these gifts and our lives, as humble tokens of our love for you. Give us courage to follow after you, to honor you even when the paths of peace become difficult and dangerous. In the name of the King of kings, we pray. Amen.
