Prayer of Thanksgiving
We stand before you as a congregation with hearts full of thanksgiving and as citizens of a grateful nation. We acknowledge your protection and provision in our past and therefore we know we can trust you with our future. We affirm what the Children of Israel knew and what the Church has proclaimed for thousands of years: “O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever!” (Psalm 136:1) So, please receive this offering as a grateful act of worship to our good and merciful God. Multiply it to accomplish your purposes in this place and to further your kingdom. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
